LiveTac // Einsatz-Guide
LiveTac // Field Guide
What LiveTac is built for and how the surfaces work together during a match.
This guide explains LiveTac as a tool, not as a promo page: for squad leads, commanders, observers and community admins who need to read, extend and hand off the same tactical map state during a live match.
01 // Zweck
01 // Purpose
Which problem LiveTac is meant to solve
In Squad, the shared tactical picture often breaks not because of the plan itself, but because of handoff: one player draws, another watches a Discord stream, someone else has a different map open, and everyone talks about slightly different states. LiveTac pulls that handoff into one shared board.
The core value is not to throw more effects onto the map. The core value is that leaders, observers and supporting roles can read the same markers, layer state and screenshots while the match keeps moving.
LiveTac is a tactical whiteboard for live sessions, not an open social tool, not a streaming substitute and not a generic map viewer.
02 // Surfaces
Which surface takes which job
The active control surface for hotkeys, markers, layer switching, screenshots and the mini overlay right beside the match.
The observation and briefing surface for a side monitor, coach, commander or viewer without a local Windows client.
The account identifies the person, while room code and password protect the specific board. Those two layers stay separate on purpose.
These surfaces are not primary visitor content, but operational tools for status, rooms, audit data and release handling.
03 // Sync
03 // Sync
What stays synchronized inside a session, and what does not
Map, layer, markers, lines, text callouts, layer paths, screenshots and selected room state stay aligned across all connected surfaces.
LiveTac does not replace voice, full match telemetry or an open spectator platform. Its job is to keep the shared map picture stable.
When a squad lead drops a marker or pushes a screenshot, the commander in the browser should not have to guess whether the same state is visible.
Not every participant should have the same control depth. Some map and layer actions are intentionally reserved for room admins.
04 // Ablauf
04 // Flow
How a typical session starts
- Create an account with email, username and password.
- Verify the email so browser and client can share the same clean identity.
- Create a room or join an existing board with room code and password.
- Control actively in the client, or read, brief and observe from the webview.
- Use markers, screenshots and layer changes only where the role actually needs them.
The flow stays intentionally short because the target audience does not want to wrestle with a long setup while the round is about to begin.
05 // Use cases
Where LiveTac helps most in actual operation
Hotkeys, markers and the mini overlay help where alt-tab would otherwise break active control.
The browser webview fits roles that need the same picture without sitting on the Windows client.
A room can be prepared before the round so the first route, layer and markers do not appear only after the match is already live.
For recurring groups, room logic, roles and release discipline matter more than a flashy demo effect. That is exactly what the public surfaces are shaped for.
06 // Vertrauen
06 // Trust
Why the download and release surface is intentionally transparent
LiveTac does not only offer a setup file, it also exposes SHA-256, SHA-512 and release metadata directly on the download page. That matters because communities and admins should be able to verify which build they are actually running.
This transparency is not a marketing extra, it is part of product trust. If a team installs a live-match tool, they should be able to see which file is current and whether a signature or hash matches it.
07 // Grenzen
Was LiveTac bewusst nicht verspricht
- Kein vollständig anonymer, offener Zugang ohne Account.
- Kein Ersatz für Voice-Kommunikation oder Match-Moderation.
- Kein beliebiger Multi-Game-Editor.
07 // Limits
What LiveTac deliberately does not promise
- No fully anonymous open access without an account.
- No replacement for voice communication or match moderation.
- No generic multi-game editor. The focus stays clearly on Squad sessions.
- No artificially inflated content hub. The public pages are meant to explain real product use, not to stack search terms.
Open the download page, verify the build and then move into the webview or the Windows client with the same account.
